We invite papers on topics broadly related to periodical studies in the nineteenth century, with a focus on original and interesting directions in research. Panels will be grouped into relevant themes in order to both give shape to discussions, and to highlight key areas of development in scholarship, such as new methodologies, new materials, and new technologies. We are keen to showcase work from a variety of disciplines – in particular interdisciplinary work – that engages with periodicals, whether from the field of history, literary studies, sociology, or elsewhere. Whilst the research presented during the conference will be of the highest standard, we hope that an informal and relaxed atmosphere will stimulate debate.
